I started my journey in Psychosynthesis after a stint in hospital, following a major stress related burnout.

Now in recovery from working as a lawyer in Life Sciences, I have spent the last 12 years putting myself back together again in a way that works for me. I began sharing my progress by volunteering with legal wellbeing charity LawCare in 2018. Since then I discovered that I had Attention Deficit Disorder, although it was years before I really understood what effect that has had and what being neurodiverse means in relation to the way my mind works. I'm glad to report that that's not all bad news.

Alongside my BACP qualification as a counsellor in Psychosynthesis talking therapy, I use practices from Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy that I learned at Oxford University as part of my Masters degree. These work particularly well as guided imagery work.

Together we can work to get you back to the real person that you essentially are, helping you to regain awareness of who you are and the joys of the mystery of life by being authentic, rather than getting stuck on automatic pilot playing parts and roles in life that don't work for you any longer.

You don't need to be unwell to benefit from working with psychosynthesis, although most people come to therapy when something gets stuck or becomes unworkable in their lives.

Perhaps you have a diagnosis of neurodiversity - for example Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD or ADD) - and don't really understand how this impacts on your way of living. I can guide you in discovery of your strengths and opportunities as well as recognising the affect this has on how you live your life and help you to teach others (family and at work) what it means to have neurodiversity, so they can give you their understanding and assistance to make life work for everyone.

Whatever your reason to seek help, I believe in reconnecting you with what makes your heart sing.

Through her incredible life journey, Sophie has developed a deep empathy and understanding of human experiences she now puts into service to her clients. When working with Sophie, you're in good hands; she's walked her talk.

Sophie is always so relaxed and accepting of everything. I knew I never needed to worry or feel embarrassed, and that I was never going to get it wrong, because there isn’t a ‘wrong’

I have enjoyed working with Sophie over the last 18 months, and having a space where I can investigate my life.

I came with anxiety, and chronic migraines, but now I have better understanding of my inner 'self' and can honour my needs in addition to helping others. We have looked into my life at work, at home with my partner, and within my family relationships.

I am enjoying new freedom to create my life as I choose it to be, now aware of things that used to limit me and that I am much more than these                                                                                                                                                         JT

Due to the rising cost of living I only worked with Sophie over a short period, but in that time we addressed what was holding me back from an old relationship.

By working through the hurt of breaking up, I can now communicate with more confidence to my new partner about what is going on for me, so that we can work together to meet challenges of life.
